Oh hai!
I'm originally from Kentucky, but I've lived in a ridiculous amount of locations including Michigan, Georgia, and Japan (yes, the country of Japan), to name a few. At the moment, I happily reside in San Diego with my sister. I really love my job, which is something I never thought I'd be lucky enough to say, but there you have it!
I'm what is referred to as a Weather Observation Technician. So, if you understand what temperature advection is, know the definition of Buys Ballot's Law, or know how to decode a METAR or TAF, you are automatically my newest best friend. Whether you like it or not. I also have a bad habit of making horrible groan-inducing weather puns and jokes. Tip: GET OVER IT. :B
You will often find me stalking places like Cute Overload, I Can Has Cheezburger, I Has a Hotdog, and other ridiculous websites that have the miraculous ability to keep you entertained for hours. So you'll have to forgive me if I bust out some random lolspeak. I really can't help it, it just happens. GET OVER DAT TOO, KAY?!
Anyway. I'm not afraid to admit that while I can and do maintain something similar to what is called a "social life", I also have deeply rooted interests in many non-social and point-and-laugh inducing nerdcore type activities. I still play Neopets, I've been obsessed with Harry Potter since 1999 (yesIcriedwhenCedricdiedshutup), I am always on the lookout for newer, better text-based RPGs (especially on LJ or mIRC), and I own my fair share of video game consoles. Oh, and I still have all my old Pokemon cards from before they started adding all the stupid new ones.
Most importantly; beluga whales, sand dollars, and raspberry almond tarts are pretty great.
